Twin MPC misting nozzles installed to lower ambient
air temperature to Zytek intercooler. This system
runs off a manual switch as the engine is on boost
the majority of the time. In a street application,
an optional, adjustable pressure sensor
automatically energizes the intercooler nozzle
circuit when the system is on boost. This system
can be backed up with a driver-controlled switch to
manually cool the intercooler and reduce hot soak
conditions.
Note:
With this nozzle position, the MPC system reduces
the temperature of air leading to both the
intercooler and the engine's cooling system. This
provides additional cooling capacity or an
opportunity to increase boost pressure.
